Office 2007 Ultimate will not install on Windows 7 Ultimate
I've this problem twice now on two different computers. When I try to install
Office 2007 Ulitmate on Windows 7 Ultimate, it lets me put in the CD key, then it lets me customize my install (run all on this computer), but when it goes to the actual install, I get back an error "Office source engine has stopped working". No code or anything. It does give the option to either close the program or check for an onlin solution. I've let check for an online solution, but as usual with this option, nothing came back. I can install Office 2007 Ultimate on an XP machine (haven't tried it on Vista, but I think it works). And other versions of Office will install on the Windows 7 Ultime. It's the combo of Office 2007 Ultimate and Windows 7 Ultimate (haven't tried other versions of Windows 7, but would assume the same problem) that does not work. I've updated .NET 3.5 SP1 thinking that might be an issue, but that didn't help either. I believe this to be a Win 7 issue. Any assistance would be appreciated. BTW, there are nor were any other versions of Office and this was a fresh install of Windows 7. Thx, Mark. |

Office 2007 Ultimate will not install on Windows 7 Ultimate
You may have a trial version of Office already installed on your system and
by installing a kosher version, you have effectively corrupted your system I suggest try to uninstall everything connected with Office 2007 from Add/Remove in control panel; and then try to install again after you have booted the system and you are in a better frame of mind. Please note: if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs then stay away from the system for 24 hours. If you can't uninstall Office in the traditional manner, then there is always a manual manner. I suggest you better read this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218 Let us know if this worked. Office 2007 Ultimate will not install on Windows 7 Ultimate
Clearly you're the one under the influence since you didn't pay attention to
what I posted. First, there is no "Add/Remove Programs" in Windows 7. It's "Programs and Features" (without the quotes). Second, as I stated, both the OS and install of Office were fresh installs and there was no trial version installed. Now, when you say "kosher version", are you suggesting that the TechNet version of Office is not "kosher" and that's my problem??? Last: I've this same problem with another computer other than this one. Office 2007 Ultimate (all other versoins work) will not install on Windows 7. I was told that posting here for TechNet subscribers would get priority and good support. Clearly I was mislead. No need to post a reply as I can see that I'm on my own with this problem and, as usual, Microsoft is not going to be of any help. His information is very commonly incorrect and also he likes to tell people to steal from Microsoft by using hacked programs. As to your issue, I really wish I could help you but can't. Your last line of the post above is not really true. You have posted to a newsgroup on usenet via a web interface. It is not a forum. There are no Microsoft employees paid to be on this site. How you got here I don't know. As you are a TechNet subscriber there should be specific instructions through your subscription to help you get assistance. Again, since I am not a TechNet subscriber I can't help there either. Please go back to the documentation you received with your subscription for the actual links to the appropriate web site for assistance. Now, since I have said that I can't help you, have you tried installing the suite in compatibility mode? Some of the references I have found indicate that this may work for you. Another location said to ensure that you run as Administrator and another site said to ensure that the Administrator account actually has a password. I don't know if any of these solutions will work for you but they, at least, are free to try. |

Office 2007 Ultimate will not install on Windows 7 Ultimate
I experienced no problems installing Office 2007 on a Win7 pro 64bit PC
(MSUpdate was run prior to installing software, on a clean win7 installation)) "MarkAlWalker" wrote in message ... I've this problem twice now on two different computers. Now that you have said it, how much did you make from using my tricks to "steal" from Microsoft: Do you remeber you told us only a month ago that you made nearly $5,000 by downloading all the trials from Microsoft website and cracking them. Now who is stealing from whom? Are you saying difital products should be free for everyone to take? How's your daughter these days? Has she started work with Peter Foldes in his escort agency? I could use her services soon and make another little "LVTravel" to crack M$ products. hth |
