Default How do I get "tab" to change list levels in print layout view in .

I recently upgraded to a computer that has Word 2002 installed on it. I
frequently use lists (numbered, bulleted, outline, etc.) and have in the past
used the "tab" and "shift+tab" keys to up or down a level when working with
the lists. With the new computer and Word 2002 this no longer works. All a
get is a tab in and no change in the level. BTW, I always work in print
layout view.

Please let me know if there is some setting I can change to correct this.

Thanks,

Carl

In Word, click on Tools | AutoCorrect Options | AutoFormat As You Type |
check the "Set left- and first-indent with tabs and backspaces" box | OK.

On the AutoFormat As You Type tab of Tools | AutoCorrect, check the box for
"Set left- and first-indent with tabs and backspaces."
