Default Cell formatting

I am trying to create a spread for my business. I am trying to get Excel to
add a number to an existing number and keep a running count then remove the
number I entered. Example say I enter 1.95 to 2.35 I can get that to add but
cannot keep adding to the first column. Any help would be appricated.

This worked to a degree. What I need now is to be able to remove the 2nd
cells figure at the end of the month without losing the formula. And have it
clear the 1st cell after the entry for the next entry.
