Default Color differences in Mac Excel

Hi,

We create Excel files with conditional formatting on Windows XP pcs. The
colors depend on the value of the cell: typical formatting i.e. red = bad,
green = good and variations in between.

But recently a mac user came back to us and the colours on his screen were
completely different. Not what I have been finding online related to Gamma
value (darker - lighter), but truely different.
For example: light pink on his screen was yellow. This was not the case for
the legend, a rectangle drawing with the same colour fill. That was slightly
lighter but still pink.

Does anyone have any ideas how we could fix this? Or how to test/reproduce
this when you don't have a mac?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Vicky -

If you don't get replies here in microsoft.public.excel.misc, I suggest that
you post in the very active newsgroup microsoft.public.mac.office.excel.

Be sure to include version of Windows Excel, e.g., Excel 2003 SP3, and be
sure to include version of Mac Excel, e.g., Mac Excel 2008 12.2.4. And,
describe the Excel file format and how you are moving the file from Mac to
PC to Mac.
