Default Problems Recieving & Sending Mail in Outlook Express w/XP

We've been having some email problems for the past 5 days with sending and
receiving emails in OE on my XP PC, and with Windows Mail on my wife's Vista
PC. Our provider is Comcast, and while we were able to view and send emails
via their WebMail app, we couldn't see or send emails via Mail or OE.

After many hours with Comcast confirming and resetting accounts, to no
avail, Microsoft solved the issue on the new Vista machine by creating
another user, and setting up an email account under that user.

I still am having issues with the OE/XP computer. The current status is I
can actually send an email from OE to both my wife's and my own email
address, and its received on my wife's PC(via her email address), but I see
nothing in the Comcast webmail app under my address, nor can I receive any
incoming mail in OE.

OE actually pops up the message that is retrieving new messsages from the
server, but they never actually appear in OE.

I am at my wits end, and would much appreciate any help, as I have had no
email for the past 5 days.

If you send yourself a message using OE, (from you to you), what happens?

Do you receive it?

Does it show in Sent Items?

Any error messages?
