Merging in Word from Excel
I have 1600 lines of data but each line is not unique to itself - it is a
list of agents with policy numbers. There are several hundred agents - but not 1600 as many of the agents have multiple policy numbers assigned to them. I am trying to create a letter addressed to the agent that list their specific policy numbers. How do I do this without having the agent name repeat itself for each policy number? |

See fellow MVP Macropod's "Word 97-2007 Catalogue/Directory Mailmerge
Tutorial" at: http://www.wopr.com/index.php?showtopic=731107 or http://www.gmayor.com/Zips/Catalogue%20Mailmerge.zip Do read the tutorial before trying to use the mailmerge document included with it as you must get the mail merge main document set up exactly as required. -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis. Any chance of getting the tutorial in another format - maybe via email? I
can't open the attachement due to restrictions set-up by our IS department.
