Default Controlling Outlook with Group Policy

Hi,

Does anyone know of a way of turning off the option in Outlook which
stops Outlook from using autocomplete on previously typed addresses.
The setting lives in Tools|Options|Email Options|Advanced Email
Options and is called Suggest Names while completing to: cc: and bcc:
fields.

I want to do this using Group Policy and have downloaded the Office
Resource kit and added the Outlk11.adm template. Of all the options
available, this isn't one of them. I have 1500 machine to change and
doing them by hand is not an option. Any help you can give would be
appreciated.

Thanks,

Richard

Hi Richard,

Well actually it is there, but its a sneaky one

Notice in Outlook that the area where the CC etc checkbox is called:
"When Sending a Message"
Thus this is the option you need to look for in the ADM..surely enough
inside it
you will find the cc etc checkbox

Take care !
Cheers !

To be precise:

Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 \ Tools | Options \ Preferences \ E-mail
Options \ Advanced E-mail Options \ When sending a message

Hi,

Thanks for your response. I did find it in the ADM file, but when I
load the ADM file into the Group Policy Editor, this setting is not
available, is there something extra I need to do to allow this setting
to be visible in the Grou Policy editor, or do I edit the ADM file
directly, if so, what settings do I need to add to make the setting
off be default.

Thanks in advance.

Rich

What steps did you follow to load the .adm file? It works fine here.
