Delete rows in Excel file with formulas
Hello! I have big Excel file with many formulas. It
contains a lot of data. When I delete part of the data, some of the values in the remain cells change. I receive these word: #REF. After that I delete #REF in one cell and I fill the necessary value. I press "Enter" key and the values in the same column become right. But the values in the remain cells are still #REF. Please help me to delete part of the data in my file without changing of remain data! |

Delete rows in Excel file with formulas
It sounds like you're actually deleting rows or columns when you delete part of
your data. Maybe instead of deleting the data that way, you could just Edit|Clear|contents. The formulas will still refer to cells that exist, so you won't see the #ref errors. (if you have =a1 in cell B1, then delete column A, it screws up the formula in B1--what should it point to? By just clearing the data, the cells still exist.) Krassimir wrote: Hello!
