That's called a crime in this country and would make the sender and receiver a criminal, yes really.

If anyone sent it to you it would be a crime.

It's called stealing and aiding and abetting a crime.

Ignorance is no excuse is what the police will tell you and you can go to jail plus get a civil judgment.

Ignorance might be bliss but perhaps might win a free trip to Jail.

Capital, felony or misdemeanor?

Petty or grand theft?

When Microsoft stole Windows, was that grand or petty theft? How come
they aren't in jail?

Try Amazon.com for Office 03. Alternatively, you might want to check out
the free Open Office at http://www.openoffice.org/

Ever hear of Xerox?

http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpag...C0A96F9582 60

From the article:

"Moreover, when Apple Computer sued Microsoft for copyright
infringement, contending that the Windows operating system stole the
look and feel of the Macintosh, Microsoft's chairman, William H. Gates,
asserted that in fact both companies had borrowed technology developed
at Xerox's PARC laboratory."

I doubt Mr. Gates gave the technology back or paid for it.

Another thing MS has stolen: Netscape. They stole it (put it out of
business so they stole the market, actually) through monopolistic practices.

Need more?

1. Neither did Apple. Nor did Xerox request payment from either party.
How can you steal something the owner does not want payment for?

2. Netscape died of its own incompetence.
