Default Outlook 2003 not fully installing with Windows 7

HI - have a new computer with Windows 7 and a trial version of Office 2007.
Installed Office 2003 and MS Office Service Pack 3 - all components installed
and working fine except Outlook 2003. When opening Outlook it gets as far as
the "Welcome" message and then stops. Allows me to access mail, contacts and
calander and set up e-mail accounts and sends test e-mail from accounts
setup. When I try to send an e-mail it sends an error message "object not
found" I can add to contacts list but address books are not working - I
cannot add an identity to them. Have tried restoring and reinstalling and
using repair facility on instal disk. Would welcome some ideas. Murray Dickie

You have to install earlier version of Office first
If you have a trial version of Ofice 2007 containing Outlook, outlook 2003
will not install.
Uninstall the Trial Version and Activation Assistant, reboot, repair /
reinstall Office 2003, and start with a new Outlook Profile

Outlook is the only app where you can't have 2 versions installed on the same
computer [think it's an API issue]. To install correctly:

1) uninstall both
2) install what you want in Office 2003. Change the destination folder to
c:\program files\Office 2003 [to distinguish the versions]
3) install Office 2007 except Outlook. Change the destination folder to
c:\program files\Office 2007 [to distinguish the versions]

Question: Why do you want Office 2007 if it's a trial? To open Office 2007
files? If so, download the compatibility pack. Free of charge and works like
a charm.
