Word/Excel Linked Templates not saving on exit
We have Word and Excel templates that were developed
specifically for our company. The templates can be quite massive and are heavily linked. One of the users seems to be experiencing problems with the files not saving data that he's taken hours to input. He is saving the document throughout the time he is entering the data, and doesn't receive any type of warning that his materials won't be saved. Several of us have watched him update and save information in either the Word or Excel portions of these templates when data has not been updated. Is he doing something wrong? Or is there something in Word/Excel 2000 that may cause this issue? As mentioned, he gets no warning that his work isn't going to be saved, and the only way he knows is the next time that he opens the file. Others say that they have had issues with Word and/or Excel not saving data, but they tell me they can't be 100% certain that they pressed save before exiting. |

Perhaps the person(s) who developed the template could enlighten you and
your colleagues. AFAIK, this is not a normally encountered behavior, and I would guess the problem is in the setup of the template. -- Greeting from the Gulf Coast! http://myweb.cableone.net/twodays wrote in message ...
