Default XY Scatter with points labeled, but not with the coordinates of the points, the point names?

Should be simple, but I can't figure it out...
Data in 3 columns (using dashes to keep it aligned here):
XValue------YValue------Point
1-----------1-----------A
2-----------1-----------B
2-----------2-----------C
1-----------2-----------D
I want an XY scatter chart with connecting lines (which I am able to
create), but I need to label the four points A,B,C,D like a square
from a geometry problem. I can only seem to label the points with the
data values, not the "name" of the point?
This is the simple example, I am really doing this with Longitude and
Latitude coordinates, but if you can tell me how to do this one, I can
do the complex one.
I appreciate any help on this!

PS possible w/o programming, macros, etc.?

Hi
try one of the following add-ins for doing this (this is not supported
directly by Excel):
