Default Excel problem

When I click on a cell and if I press any of the arrow
keys, it acts like I am holding down the Shift key. As if
I was going to copy and paste. How do I fix this.

Hi
you may have enabed the 'extended' mode. Do you see the word 'EXT' in
your status bar. If ye try hitting F8 - this toggles between normal
and extende mode
