Why do I get these emails "Mail Delivery Returned mail" with a subject -- "Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender " I did not send out the email to the address, my email address is listed at the sender of the email. How does this happen? Thanks Beryl |

Mail Delivery Returned
This is coming from a virus infected computer that is using your
address to spoof the From field. It's very common. As of now, all you can do is delete them. -- Bruce Hagen ~IB-CA~ "Beryl" wrote in message ... Mail Delivery Returned
Hi Beryl,
I see that you are posting with what appears to be your correct e-mail address. Your address has probably been harvested by a spammer and probably sold on as an entry in a database of genuine e-mail addresses. These spammers then use the OE Bcc facility to send message to other genuine addresses on that database, with your address as the "From" address. Recipients of these unsolicited messages return them to you as unknown (assuming they have a programme like "MailWasher Pro" or similar). Derek "Beryl" wrote in message ... Beryl,
You could open a new e-mail account, advise all your contacts of the new address and then close the compromised account. Derek "Beryl" wrote in message ... Thank you for all your help. Beryl,
When you open a new account stop publishing with the new account address. Derek "Beryl" wrote in message ... Thank you for all your help. Nothing I can do from my end then.
