I'm doing notecards and when I print them, the picture is the wrong way.
Even if I flip it horizontally, it still comes out only one way. This
doesn't happen for every notecard, just some. I even pulled up one that did
work properly and just substituted the picture and it printed it wrong. Any
ideas?

A couple of things to verify:

The printer setup;

File
Printer setup
select the size of paper stock
select the way the paper passes through the printer; horizontal or portrait

Next
File
Page setup
select paper stock size
set either horizontal or portrait, whichever you wish.

Now you should be able to create your project.
