Why does word reformat an entire document when only a
single line or phrase is selected?
Out of the blue, my copy of word2000pro has started to
apply re-formats (e.g. italic font, centred, ....) to an
entire doc when only a short phrase or a line or two have
been selected. I have re-loaded a backup copy of
normal.dot - to no avail.
I can get around it at present only by hitting CTRL+Z each
time, but this is a pain in the neck - and for a long
document it can all takes a lot of time in waiting (and
adds hugely to the file size). Presumably there's a flag
that has become mis-set somewhere, but I can't find it.
I've asked around my office, but no-one has seen this
befo does anyone have the solution (before I uninstall
and start over)?
Thanks.
