footer not printing

Footer shows up in print preview but does not print on the
actual letter head document. Why?

Your footer may be outside the printable area of your document. Each
printer has a different bottom margin. Go to File to Page Setup,
Margins. Check the "From Edge" section (just below the "gutter"
margin) and see how close to the edge your footer is.

Remember that the footer is set below the bottom margin, so you may
have pushed it down accidentally while trying to increase your typing
space.

It's rare for something to show up in Print Preview and not print. Are you
sure you're not referring to Print Layout view?
