Default "Select All" Option not available Word 2003

I have used the system evaluation version of Word 2003 and have just bought
and installed the Office Professional 2003. In both versions the "Select
All" option is not available (grayed out) in the Styles Task Pane. I used
this option a LOT in my old Word 2002. Is there an something somewhere that
I must de/activate to turn on this feature?

That option is not available unless you have "Keep track of formatting"
enabled on the Edit tab of Tools | Options.
