Default Address Book will not come up using Fax Wizard

My OS is Windows XP. Before I installed Microsoft Office XP-2002, whenever I
would send a fax from my old word processor -- AmiPro -- or Notepad, the Fax
Wizard would come up and I could click on Address Book and select the
recipient. Now I get all sorts of error messages that I cannot use the Address
Book (and no entries are showing), whether I use Word, AmiPro or Notepad. But
the Address Book is still on my hard drive -- I can access it through Start -
All Programs - Accessories - Address Book -- though I get a new prompt, asking
me if I want to make it my default V-card viewer.

Whenever you install Outlook, Windows XP Fax switches from using the Windows
Address Book to the Outlook Address Book.
So should you, it appears.
What happens if you reset your OS to use the Windows Address Book?

Yes, I want to do the normal procedure. But when I was going through the Send
Fax Wizard and clicked on Address Book, I get a window saying "The address book
cannot be displayed ... , etc." Then I click OK, and the Address Book window
opens anyway. At the top it says "Show Names from the" and I can choose Outlook
Address Book or Contacts. If I choose Contacts and click on New, I get the
error message as above: "The address book cannot be displayed ... etc." If I
choose Outlook Address Book and click on New, the New Entry window opens. No
matter what choices I make there, I get the error message: "A new entry could
not be added. Please use the contacts module to create this entry."

What happens if you reset your OS to use the Windows Address Book?

How is that done?

Thank you for your answers, and let me know if you want me to Post to Newsgroup
AND send via e-mail to you as we are going through this problem. Thanks much
for your help.

The messages you are getting simply indicate that you have not yet
configured your Outlook Address Book, so Windows XP Fax can't find any
records. Since I suspect you have not made any entries into your Outlook
Contacts, we can address that later.

Go to Control Panel Internet Options Programs... Change your Contact
list manager to the Windows Address Book instead of Outlook and see if you
get your fax Contacts back in the Fax Wizard.

Please tell me how that is done -- could not find it in Outlook

Go to Control Panel Internet Options Programs... Change your Contact

Did this as you described, but I still get the same error messages, even after
rebooting. Choices were Address Book and Outlook.

If you open the Windows Address Book, are your fax Contacts there?

Follow the instruction is the KB to configure the Outlook Address Book:
