Default No more new fonts may be applied to this workbook

Hello,

I have an Excel Workbook with 6 worksheet containing a
variety of charts linked to data sources in different
workbooks. I receive the error message "No more new
fonts may be applied to this workbook" when any font
changes are attemped in the charts. I have tried the
suggestion on the MS knowledge base (uncheck autoscale
selection) with no success. I only receive the same
error message. I am running Excel 2002.
Any suggestions?

Thanks for any help provided :-)

This web page has some macros that disable font autoscaling:

It's an Excel limitation. You can get around it for many size projects by using the solution below. Note that you may need to copy a worksheet out to another book temporarily in order to eliminate the error message long enough to go into each graph and de-select the auto-scale option. Then you'll have to scale the fonts in each chart. It's time consuming, but does the trick.
