Default Creating a new stencil

I created a stencil (using basic Visio drawing tools) and saved the stencil. I can insert it into a drawing and it is visible, but when I print, my stencil doesn't print. What do I need to do to get my new creation to print?

Are you sure the print box is selected when you look into the layer
properties? Your new stencil first has to be part of _a_ layer, then this
layer has to be made 'printable in the layer properties and then you will
have it on paper.

I right click on the stencil, select Format Layer and then highlight one of the displayed layers (in this case "Movable Furniture").

Then I right click on the stencil, select View Layer Properties and verified that the Movable Furniture Layer has checks under both Visible & Print. I even changed the color of that layer to see if my new stencil shows up with this new color; and it does. All of the other elements in the Movable Furniture Layer change color, and they also print.
