Default 2007 Proofing Tools failure - Conflict with FrontPage 2003 ?

Hello ... I've followed the thread "Spell Checker Not Working" and tried to
use the regedit "Shared Tools/Proofing Toos/Override" soltution but
"Override" folder not there.
I have a new computer pre-installed Office 2007 Small Business, moved (with
PCMover) FrontPage 2003 from my old laptop (because I prefer it to Web
Expressions) and the spell checker and other proofing tools work fine in
FrontPage 2003 but none of the proofing tools seem to work in Office 2007
(Word, etc.). Tried a complete uninstall and reinstall ... problem remains.
When I right click on a word and choose thesarus, I get a "windows install
error 1605" message, but then the Thesarus side-bar does eventually open ...
after 5-6 repeat error windows.

Any ideas ?

It finally occured to me that the problem might be with Canadian English ...
the default language on my system ... so I used the set language tool, put
the text I was working into "English (United States)" and VoilĂ* ... after
hours of messing around, it worked. Apparently the Canadian English
dictionary isn't on the system (only English French and Spanish).

UNFORTUNATELY, I uninstalled FrontPage 2003 before the English-US trick
occured to me ... and don't have the cd any more ... can't find it. So will
have to make do with Web Expressions -- i.e. no more handy Navigation window.

Now to see if I can find and download the Canadian spell checker ..

The reccommended method, from MS when using different version components, is
to install earliest first, use MS Update, then install latest version.
Whether this would cure the problem I couldnt say
PS I wouldnt use any mover program for Office or a component, but install
from cd

Futher note ... only English (United States) work ... unfortunately, I have a
multilingual office and proofing toos for French (as well as Canadian
English) are useful to me (and I have had these since Office 2000) ... guess
I'll have to do without!
