Error when opening db
Access 2002. This error just started happening. When I
try to open the database (HDH.mdb), and another user has it open I get the following error message: The table 'MSysAccessStorage' is already opened exclusively by another user, or it is already open through the user interface and cannot be manipulated programmatically. I notice that when the db comes up under these circumstances I can see the tables and the queries, but no forms, reports, or modules show up. What gives? P.S. I posted this in the "Setup & Configuration" section as well. I know, I know only post in one place. But some categories seem to get better attention than others. Sorry. |

Error when opening db
Doug,
Have you tried creating a new empty database and importing all of your objects from the problem db to the new one? The only KB article I can find that appears to relate to your problem is the following (and it's questionable): http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;810415 -- Cheryl Fischer, MVP Microsoft Access Law/Sys Associates, Houston, TX "Chaplain Doug" wrote in message ... Error when opening db
The MSysAccessObjects table is the Access 2000 (and earlier) object, while
MSysAccessStorage is the Access 2002 object. Was this database converted from Access 2000 to Access 2002? Also, is this a replicated database? There is an article regarding this in connection with replication http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;282368 -- Lynn Trapp MS Access MVP www.ltcomputerdesigns.com Access Security: www.ltcomputerdesigns.com/Security.htm wrote in message ... i TRIED THE DB RECREATE AND THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. Error when opening db
I got this error with Access 2003 purely by replicating a database and storing it in the same network folder. I deleted the copy and all is fine. -- dreamingwombat ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Posted via http://www.mcse.ms ------------------------------------------------------------------------ View this thread: http://www.mcse.ms/message672983.html |
