how can you edit appointments in a Calendar using OWA

One of our employees needs the ability to edit appointments in a shared calendar via OWA. She can view the calendar by entering the URL of the other person's calendar, but she can't save any edits or add any new appointments - "Save and Close" appears grayed-out.

Is there a utility that will allow this to happen? Thanks.

What permissions does this user have on the calendars in question?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
