I am trying to create a database for student records and we need a field that shows when the files was last updated. How do I go about making it so that this field is auto filled with the current date after changes have been made to the record?

Place a control on your form that is bound to your LastUpdatedBy field in
your table. In the BeforeUpdate event of the form add this code:

Me.txtLastUpdatedBy = Date()
