Default Backing up MS Office Personal folders to CD

Can anyone help me?

I need to reformat my hard drives and would like to
create a backup, on CD, so I can reinstall my e-mails,
calendar, and contacts once I have my PC back in shape.

I have tried archiving to another drive and then copying
the archive file to CD but I get an error message telling
me I can't do this or I copy the archive file accross and
the file is empty.

I have also downloaded "backup" from the Microsoft
website & copied that file to CD.
Only problem with that was that I don't know how to
restore the information from the back up file..?

Perhapse you know how to restore from a "backup" and can
help?

Default

Copy pst from cd to hd, ensure read only is off, in properties of the pst.
Rename pst, if nec.
In OL File/Open/Personal Folders (Exact 'open' wording depends on OL
version) and browse to pst.
The pst can be located any where on yr hd, it doesnt have to be in default
location. Do NOT overwrite any existing pst.
You can, with OL closed, simply burn existing pst's to cd
