Cannot use menu in embedded Excel object in Word
Someone in the Word.docmanagment discussion group suggested I ask this
question here. She thought it might be an issue with Windows SP2 interfering with OLE client/server. In Word 2003, when attempting to edit an inserted object created from an existing file (Excel 2003 spreadsheet), the source program (Excel) command menu is only partially usable. The menu appears as expected, but for some reason none of the submenus except File and Window will list or open. In other words, if I point to Insert, for example, on the command menu, nothing at all happens--the list of submenus does not appear. This used to work and suddenly it does not. Does anyone have any experience with this problem? Thanks. We are using Windows XP Professional 2002 with Service Pack 2. |
