User Information
I have about 30 some users using Microsoft Office. When they were originally
setup some of the usernames are not correct. Is there a way I can automatically fill in the Name, Initials and Company name? Maybe using some type of login script or other type of script. I hate to ask each user to go in and fill this information in. I believe the information is stored in the registry. I wish there was a script that would change that information for them. Thank you for any help. |

I don't know of a script to do this, but it's a relatively easy thing
for a user to do. How to change the company name and user name in: Office 2003: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=821550 Office XP: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=290528 Office 2000: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=233499 Office 97: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=244080 S Lane wrote: I have about 30 some users using Microsoft Office. I have the same problem. I'd like to implement this in a script. You'll
find what you need in the following registry key. HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\version#\Common\Use rInfo verison# is 10.0 for Office XP, and 11.0 for Office 2003. I haven't checked this with versions 8.0, or 9.0. Also you'll have enter unicode formatted data - 2 bytes per character. "S Lane" wrote in message ...
