Simple installation Office 2003 OEM software
hello,
Our company use Office 2003 OEM software versions and I search for a simple installation method. An Administrative installation point isn't possible with this version. Is there another way to make a standard directory for all OEM installations? So that I can update this directory with the latest service pack, fixes, etc? During each installation I want give the product key that belong to the specific workstation (machine). Please let me know. Ingrid |

Hi, Ingrid,
See this article: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...402031033.aspx Look down to the "Creating a compressed CD image on the network". That should be a way that you can use a central installation point. Then refer to Microsoft Office Assistance: Strategies for Updating Office 2003 Installations: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...525741033.aspx For information on how to update clients that have been installed from a compressed image. You can chain patches, which will help some. Also, the Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) will soon be released, which will allow you to control updates for Office 2003. You can see here for more information: Microsoft Update Services: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserv...s/default.mspx -- Susan Ramlet MVP - Office Please reply to the newsgroups where others may benefit.
