Default Fill Colour problem

Hi,

I've got a spreadsheet that has conditional formatting so the the fill
colour of a cell goes Red, 'Amber' or Green dependant on the outcome of
certain formulae. The formulae work fine but the 'amber' colour turns brown
if I have 2 different spreadsheets open or if someone opens the file on a
different machine. Any ideas whats causing this?

This should not happen unless formulas refer to the other sheet.

Pl. share the formula...

Check to see if your workbook is using a custom color pallete. If the colors
are not the same as the standard Excel pallete, you can get color switching
when you also have another workbook open that does use the standarad pallete.

Look under Tools/Options/Color for your workbook and then for a new, blank
workbook, to see if any of the standard colors have been altered.

HTH,

Eric
