Publish E-r database model as web page but cannot get at detailedinformation for each table.
Hi,
I have created a database E-r model using Visio 2007. I now want to publish it ( so can send to clients) as a web site with all details ( column info , notes etc ) available. When I save it as a Web Page , I can see the drawing but cannot get at any of the details of the tables. It mentions to opress "Ctrl+Click" but that doesn't work. Am I missing something. Thanks for all info. JOhn |

Publish E-r database model as web page but cannot get at detai
Just wondering (I am new to Visio): If this is not available from Visio Pro,
is there any edition of Visio where these properties are exposed, so that they can be exoprted in some readable manner (HTML, XML, Excel...)? What I need is some "Table Report" which seems to have exited in previous versions of Visio, but not in Visio 2007! Thanks. "Barb Way" wrote: I don't know if you are still looking for info on this, but just in case... The properties of the objects in the Database modeling solution are not stored in the shape properties, they are stored in the 'model' itself. There is no way to export those attributes using the export functions like Save As Web, not are they exposed for Reports in Visio Pro. This is a known limitation of the Pro version of the Modeling solutions (both Database and Software). The "Table Report" feature is only found in the Visio for Enterprise
Architects version of Visio, which used to be a part of the Visual Studio team editions. There is no 2007 version of VEA, but if you have Visual Studio Team 2005 editions(Database/Developer/Architect/Suite), then you can install the VEA version based on Visio 2003, which does include the advanced Database and UML modeling solutions, and the associated reporting features.
