Default how do i insert a checkbox in word 2007 WITHOUT USING THE STUPID .

I need to create a quick form for my staff to use that they can just click
on a box and they get the checkbox. If I click on the box created using the
developer, it pops up with a box that i have to click a prompt to check the
box and then close it. that is too many steps when you are trying to get work
out quickly.

You may find http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Classic%20Form%20Controls.htm a
useful shortcut if you are creating forms with checkboxes.

If you're using a check box form field from the Legacy Forms palette, you
must protect the document for forms in order to check and uncheck the box
with a single click. In addition to the article Graham referenced, you can
find another method, which doesn't require forms protection, at
