If you're using Word as your email editor in Outlook, try turning that
option off and see if it helps. Other than that, I'm out of ideas too.

I did a search for OFFICEAV.DLL and it is nowhere t be found. I may try to
reinstall Office and do a repair. Just a shot in the dark. I am at a loss
with this. If you can think of anything else that would be great. Thanks
again for you time so far.

Oops, forget what I said a few minutes ago about "the downloaded file is
corrupt"... that was intended for someone else.

I tried Alt-Tab and all that showed was Outlook, the Windows installer goes
away rather fast. I did notice that in the task manager that Word.exe is open
and running around 14,500k. I took some screen shots of the task manager to
see whats running durring the process, and all I can pick up is Word running.
Anything else I know nothing about.

Okay, the next time this message appears, see if you can Alt+Tab to the
open dialog box, and tell us what its title bar and dialog box contain.

No I use Kaspersky Anti Virus. I do not have any Norton products in my computer

If you have Norton Antivirus, try disabling the Office Plugin that comes
with it. See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=329820 "How to use
Office programs with the Norton AntiVirus Office plug-in" for more
information.

There isn't actually an error.
The window that pops up, and says "You cannot close Microsoft Office Word
because a dialog box is open. Click ok, switch to Word, and then close the
dialog box" I then click "ok", and after a small amout of time I close Word.
This only happens when I first start my system and open Outlook, I have not
tried to replicate this in Word, Excel, or Publisher. After the inital time
of going through this I can reopen Outlook as much as I want and it will not
happen again until I re-boot my system.

Well, I restarted my system, put in the install disk, when the dialog box
opened, I selected Repair Installation, and let it do it's thing. (I did not
run Outlook up to this point because it seems that something wasn't installed
properly). Finished this repairs, restarted the system, and Voila, no more
Windows Installer when I started Outlook!! Yahoo! Thanks for you time
