Office XP Issue
Alright, here is my dilemma....
I am running Windows 2000 Pro and have been using MS Office XP (Version10.0.2627) on it for the past few years....the computer crashed due to a virus and so I had to reinstall Windows 2000 Pro...unfortunately I can't find the office CDs, but it appears that all of the MS Office files, programs, etc are still on the computer....however, when I attempt to open Word, etc. it starts up with an "unknown user" and "unregistered version"...and then I recieve an error message that says the program has not been installed for this user and to run the "setup"...unfortunately I assume "setup" is on the MS Office CDs...is there any hope in salvaging MS Office w/o the CDs and the setup program? Thanks, AJ |

You are correct in assuming you need the CDs to install Office XP. You might
try calling the following number to see if they can order one for you at a discount. Otherwise, you can check on EBay or buy Office 2003. 800.360.7561 -- audeyt "Please do not send e-mail directly to this alias. This alias is for newsgroup purposes only."
