Default Different margins on 1st and following pages

Our companys stationary is designed so that text on the main first page has
margins Left 3,17 and Right 5,08. What we wish to happend is that when text
is typed and page 2 turnes up automatically the margins for that page 2 and
following pages are set back to L 3,17 / R 3,17 and that the new set of
margins are "frozen" if more text is added or deleted. Today we have to type
the whole text, wait until every change is made and then mark all text from
startpoint on page 2 to the end of the document and change the right margin
to 3,17.

If or when additional changes are made - fx that text on page 1 are removed
or copied from another document - the margins change again and the procedure
of marking from page 2 etc etc has to be done all over.

I've tried to work out a macro but thats not a 100% solution for it.

So - Page 1 one set of margins - when page 2 appeares - a new set of margins
which are set and is not changes for ANY reason whatever kind of text is
pasted into / deleted from or added to the original text.

We run Office 2000 standard on XP

In advance - thanks a lot for any tips / help.

You need to use the first page header to force the extra margin space.

See http://home.earthlink.net/~wordfaqs/Letterhead.htm. - the "Letterhead
for a multi-page letter" section gives full details.
