Default Outlok 2007 uses 1.2 GB after starting

After an upgrade from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007, after starting the
Oulook.exe Process in the Taskmanager uses 1.2 GB Memory. My .pst is 1.5GB
and the .ost is 500 MB on my Win XP Professional.

Updates Outlook 2007 already to SP2 level and applied additional updates?
Try resetting your outcmd.dat and extend.dat file by renaming them to .old.
See http://www.msoutlook.info/question/19

If the problem persists, it is usually is caused by an add-in.
