Default Section breaks (?)

I've imported my 60-page book from Word into Pub2007 - thanks for the tip
about creating a text box and bringing it in that way. I have inserted
blank pages to put in the family tree (.pub files) at various points. There
seems to be almost an instability in the final .pub: at various points in
the book there are what I think are section breaks - lines of dots, of
variable lengths, with two superimposed Ss on them. If I try to remove the
line all hell breaks loose with the text. The breaks, if that's what they
are, don't seem to be associated with any feature like page numbering
changes. Any ideas, please, as to how I can clean things up?

TIA

John - who chose a rather large project for his first foray into Pub!!

Thanks for the replies. I've finally tracked down a Microsoft article on
connected text boxes. I had to insert pages to make space for my family
trees so no doubt the ones which were interrupted by the new pages were made
connected. I should be able to sort it in the morning - it's 10 pm here and
I started this morning at 4 am with minimal breaks so it's time to hit the
hay.

Thanks

John
