Default Spelling and Grammar question

I have Office 2003 Proffessional with Microsoft Word (11.6568.6568) SP2
installed in my computer. I use American English for my writings.
When I first try to use the spelling and grammar for my Word typings, I get
the following message:
"Cannot find proofing tools for Dutch (Netherlands). If you have the
prooofing tools, try installing or reinstalling them....For more
information, see the Microsoft Office site"
Then the following checking try's just tell me that the spelling checking
has been completed, etc.
I wonder why the English spelling checker is not working (and why do I have
the Dutch?), and also, how can I fit this without having to reisstall my
program again?
Thanks in advance.

Default Spelling and Grammar question

When you say that you are using "American English" are you saying that you
have set the Language to that? It may be that the Language is set to Dutch
and because the Dutch Proofing Tools are not available, you are getting that
message.

Hope this helps.

Default Spelling and Grammar question

Dough, can you advise how or where do I set the language to American English
in the context of what you are referring to so my Spelling and Grammar works
in that language?

Default Spelling and Grammar question

Doug, I write in American English, but from what you are saying below, it
appears that some of my settings have to be changed, so please advise, if
you think that is what my problem is.
