Losing Print format when copying wrksht to wrksht or wkbook to wkb
We have a file with about 30 worksheets in it. Each is a "quickie" quote and
when we save it (to make changes or for history), we copy the entire worksheet to a new file, and save it with a new name. The new file doesn't bring with it the print parameters, and we have to start over (inserting a picture, custom heading, page layout, etc). How can we get the print parameters from the first file ("generic quotes") to the 2nd file ("John Smith's quote file")? |

MK,
Have you tried this: 1) Setting up a template or 2) Saving the first file "generic quotes" as a Save As "John Smith's quote file" hth "MK" wrote: We have a file with about 30 worksheets in it. I thought about "save as" as an option; but then, I'd have to delete all the
worksheets (but the 1 or 2 relevant ones) from the new file (or every quote would have 30 sheets, and I wouldn't know which one the customer was interested in 30-60 days down the road. I can try the template idea. Would I insert the worksheet into the template file - then save the template file as "John Smith"? How are you copying the worksheet to the new workbook?
If you right-click on the tab and "move or copy" and "create a copy" to new book. the print settings should go with the worksheet.
