Default How to access Hotmail in Outlook 2000?

Microsoft Knowledge Article 234704 "You cannot view Hotmail messages in Outlook 2000"
http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;q234704
SYMPTOMS
Microsoft Outlook, unlike Microsoft Outlook Express, does not have an option to use Microsoft
Hotmail e-mail accounts. The "Resolution" section provides a work around to access a Hotmail
account.
CAUSE
Outlook does not support the integration of Hotmail e-mail accounts.
RESOLUTION
You can view your Hotmail e-mail in Outlook by creating a Hotmail folder and then associating
a Web view of that folder that points to the Hotmail Web site.

SLIPSTICK Systems Article "Configuring Hotmail Support in Outlook 2000 (IMO)"
http://www.slipstick.com/config/ol2000hotmail.htm
In some cases, it is possible to access a Hotmail Inbox in Outlook 2000 in
Internet Mail Only Mode with Office Service Release 1/1a applied.
NOTE: This is an unsupported hack that works for some people;
if it doesn't work for you, no information is available to explain why not.

Anyone who previously used HTTP access should continue to have access to
HTTP until early 2005.... however there are apparently a few who lost it
prematurely. http://www.slipstick.com/emo/2004/up040930.htm#http
