How do i set up Word so i can print some graph or grid paper, say 1/4
inch spacing on the graph(could be bigger though)
Doesn't Word have a simple setting for making graph paper? I am going to
make some simple mechanical drawings and grid paper would help.
Thanks

No, it doesn't, partly 'cause it isn't a *drawing/drafting* program:-)

Do you need the grid just for doing the drawing or do you actually have to
have it print as well?

If printing isn't the issue just turn on the Drawing Toolbar, click the Draw
button & select Grid from the menu, then spec the grid to suit yourself.

One option for something printable is to create a Table consisting of as
many columns & rows as you need sized accordingly.
