Default Converting later versions in Pub2000

I have been sent a Publisher (.pub) file. I only have Publisher 2000 and it gives me the error message "Publisher is unable to convert files from a different version" (or something close to that. Is there a patch, upgrade or Reader application which will allow me to view/print this document without the need to purchase the whole 2003 version?

The problem is not that you can't read a 2003 file. That is a different
message (cannot open a different version).

Do you have Norton Anti-virus on your system? Try disabling the script
blocking and office plugins.
