Printing distribution lists on 1 page instead of 2
My office just upgraded to Outlook 2007. In our previous version of Outlook,
when you printed a distribution list, it printed on 1 page (provided all the contacts fit on one page), with the name of the distribution list on top. Now, when I try to print the same distribution list, it prints the name of the distribution list on 1 page and the contacts on the second page. Is there any way to fix this? It is fairly inconvenient. I have looked in the printing options to no avail. |

There is no fix. It's a new feature.

Why would you want to print a D/L in the first place? My boss does. I think he uses it as a "check-off" list. I don't question why the CEO wants to do something. I just try to fix it. If I can't, I find a workaround. |

Things often get broken by changes made in successive Outlook versions. DL's
are among the lowest priority item of any within Outlook, so anything broken there won't get fixed. -- Russ Valentine "Kathy Dake" wrote in message ... "Russ Valentine" wrote: There is no fix. It's a new feature. Seriously, what is with the stepping backwards that MS sometimes does? *sigh* |

Kathy I have the same issue. Seems this is just another Let down from M$.
Just like WIN ME And Vista. I think Russell posted this work around on another site. I haven't tried it yet. I guess it woujld be too much to ask that M$ go through the ENTIRE program functions before releasing it. I did find a work around to print the list, but it prints in notepad: Open the distribution list Click the drop-down arrow on the SEND button Click “In Internet Format (vCard) Double-click the attachment Click File Click Print Select the correct printer Click OK "Kathy Dake" wrote: "Gordon" wrote: Why would you want to print a D/L in the first place? Another workaround that might help is this:
1. Create a new mail message. 2. Click the "Attach Item" button on the "Message" or "Insert" tab. 3. In the "Look in:" area, select the "Contacts" folder. 4. Select "Text only" radio button in the "Insert as" area. 5. Then in the "Items:" area, select all the distribution lists you want and insert them into the body of the message as plain text. With that you can either email the list, print it, or copy the body of the message and put it into Word (or whatever). "Wes" wrote: Kathy I have the same issue.
