There is no vallid reason to convert to Office '07. Stay with the package
you are using, you will be far happier.

If you want to send me $149, I'd be okay with it. Giving your money to me
and getting nothing but advice in return is a far better deal for you than
spending the money on Office '07.

You probably don't need to convert. All wps files created by newer Works
word processor can be opened in Word 2007 and Excel can open the Spreadsheet
files natively. Don't use and didn't test the Works database for opening
with Access but I don't think it is in the proper format for it to read it.

You are not very clear. Let us know if it is the following that you would like to
achieve

You would like to install Office 2007 and you would like to know if your present
Works files can be transferred into Office 2007 after installation of Off 2007 or
Saved files from Works converted to use in Office 2007

He may not have any package apart from MS Works. I take it you hate
Office 2007 right? Do you currently use it or have you used it in the
past and dumped it because you hated it? Or are you just basing your
opinion on hearsay?

I helped a neighbor take a college course on Excel '07. Makes me glad that I
installed my copy of Office '03 onto my new Vista machine (that if I had
another copy of XP, I'd install it over Vista in a heartbeat).

I used it, and I hated it. I avoided the upgrade past IE6 for a long time
too. I went straight to IE8, and find that I still like IE6 better.
