Adding labels to an option group
I am creating a Customer contact list in the same way as the "Northwind DB" with an option group for each letter. I have tried an "option group" but it gives a maximum of 20 options. How do I add more? -- How many buildings collapsed on 9/11? I can tell you the answer isn't 2 !! |

Adding labels to an option group
Since an OptionGroup can deliver only one value from a number of possible selections,
use a combobox or listbox instead. -- hth Al Campagna Candia Computer Consulting - Candia NH http://home.comcast.net/~cccsolutions "Find a job that you love, and you'll never work a day in your life." Or, 26 command buttons each with the caption being the letter they represent.
Then from each call a sub like: Private Sub FilterContacts() Me.Filter = "[Last Name] LIKE '" & ScreenActiveControl.Caption & "*'" Me.FilterOn = True End Sub "scubadiver" wrote: I am creating a Customer contact list in the same way as the "Northwind DB" with an option group for each letter. How do I add more? Hmmm. The Northwind example has 27 buttons. Do you mean the Wizard will only offer 20 buttons? After you create the option group with the 20 buttons and save it, manually add additional buttons to the group. They will become part of the group once you place them within the option frame. -- Fred Please respond only to this newsgroup. I do not reply to personal e-mail |

That is exactly the query I wanted answering.

Adding labels to an option group
I have added the extra toggle buttons and adapted the Northwind macro to the group. The macro is called "customer list" and has the following (where "letterfilter" is the name of the option group and "customername" is the field I want filtered) Macro Name: Alpha buttons Condition: [letterfilter] = 1 Action: Applyfilter (Where Condition = [CustomerName] Like "[AÀÁÂÃÄ]*") (with the last two lines repeated for every toggle box) For some reason the buttons aren't staying depressed. Can you tell me what I may be doing wrong? They are toggle buttons and they all have a different value. I have taken it off the form and will try again!
