Transferring contacts entries into address book

I have Outlook 97. I can not marry my contact into my
address book to e-mail. I have right
clicked Contacts and clicked properties and then selected
outlook address
book tab. I can not select the "Show this folder as an e-
mail address book
check check box" It is not highlited. Any suggestions.
