I have two variables in a graph I'm constructing. One is
dollars and another is percent. I have a stacked bar for
the dollars, but want a line graph for the percent. When
I change the graph to "Line Column on 2 axes", the stacked
bar changes from a stacked to a side-by-side graph.

Is there a way I can keep the line for percentages AND
keep a stacked bar for the dollars?

Thanks

Jeff -

Make your chart using a stacked column for all of the series. Right
click on the percent series, choose Chart Type from the pop up menu, and
select the line chart style you want. If you need this series on the
secondary axis, double click on it, and choose Secondary on the Axis tab.

Jon,
since the first series of numbers or dollars and the
second series are percentages, I can't see the values for
the percentages in the stacked graph. Therefore I can't
use your instructions.

Select the percentage series by clicking on one of the data points, go t=
o =

the menu and click Format | Selected data series | Axis. Pick the =

secondary axis.

Jeff -

You can select one series and move to the others using the up and down
arrows. Look in the Name Box (above cell A1 in the menu bar area) to
see what is selected. You can also use the chart element dropdown in
the Chart command bar to select any chart element.
