Default Publisher question... file types?

I am working on a beginner magazine and I want to import ads. I couldn't find
a way to import a .pdf in publisher. What file type would people send in and
can I import anything other than a .jpg?

Thanks

You can import a PDF into Publisher, quality might be an issue.
Insert, Object, Adobe Acrobat Document, check Create from file.

I've done several brochures for events and had to work with ads. You will
get just about every conceiveable format known to man. I've seen .jpg, .pdf,
..doc, .png, and a few .psd and .ai files. I've even seen scans of
photocopies of newspaper ads. And photocopies of business cards. You need to
know what kind of file format you can handle and try to get that word out as
soon as possible.

And for many orgs & events, grateful for anything you get too, when it comes
to ads & sponsors.

Amen to that! Fortunately I was able to open all of the file types sent to
me and only recreated 2 or 3 ads because they were just downright horrible
copies.

on the last non-profit program I did; out of the 30 ads I received "camera
ready art" for I ended up just creating new ads for all except 2...much
faster to do it myself then trying to repair the crap they sent me.
