Default Using a Publisher Template in Word - or equivalent ?

I've got my company letterhead created in Publisher and it is printed it off
to create a set of company-headed notepaper.

When I come to write a letter I enter the text into Word using a word
template for the correct margins, etc and then print onto the pre-printed
letterhead.

Increasingly I want to be able to create the same letter on the company
letterhead but print to pdf so I can send the letter as a file attach.

It seems a chore to do it all in Publisher and I don't seem to have an
option to create a Word template from Publisher

Can anyone tell me the best way to achieve it.

Current version of office is 07 but I also have 2010 beta

Thanks in advance

Rob

In addition to the link that Mary posted, you can do a Save As your
Publisher file as a .png file type. Once that is done start Word, Insert
Header, insert the picture (.png) file. Resize the picture to fit. Close
the header box and then save as a .dotx file (Document Template.) When you
need to create the file to send (or even print on non-letterhead paper with
the color printer) then simply open the template file. I use this method
all the time. Generally it is cheaper than commercial printing of
letterhead paper and it also prevents issues with toner migration when
printing through a laser printers the second time.

I think you can also put your picture in as a watermark using that
technique, if you should want to.
But don't quote me on that it's more years ago than I want to remember
when I did such things!

Correct if you wanted a watermark.
