Default Office 2007 trial version issues

Can someone tell me how to kill Microsoft? I was using Office 2004 and wanted
to download a template that would only use Off 2007 so I agreed to the trial
version. I let it expire and then couldn't access the old version. I went
ahead and coughed up the $150 for the new version but after download recieved
an error mess. when I tried to run it. (Can't remember exactly what it was,
it was something about a patch not found or s'n.) I saw something about the
old power point being incompatible so I removed all the 2004 Office. I got
ticked and demanded M-soft help or refund my $$, they chose the latter. I am
unable to remove trial version which is probably the problem. I don't mind
repurchasing software but want to remove trial version 1st. I saw in these
posts where I had to delete the temp files and I found a temp folder in my c
drive. I deleted it and rebooted but still can't remove trial version from
control panel/add-remove programs. Is there another temp file folder
somewhere else? I'm fairly dumb on the computer so help guide me if so. Also,
should I restore that temp folder? ANY help will be appreciated and I may
even let MS live. thanks in advance.

As to whether you are capable of following the instructions, only you know
that
I'd suggest printing them out

PS You dont delete the Temp Folder, you delete the files contained within
the Temp Folder
Running Disk Cleanup and selecting the appropriate options will also delete
temp files.

It looks like that let me remove it. Some of the files in step 1 wouldn't
delete and said Patch Package could not be opened, verify that it still
exists and can be accessed but I just skipped them and followed the rest of
the steps. I'll come back and let ya know if the reinstall went ok (as soon
as I get the courage to try it, lol)
